For your convenience, we have two MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scanners that offer the latest in high-field technology (1.5 Tesla) as well as more scheduling options than any other imaging center in Alaska.

An MRI is a window into your body. The more powerful the MRI, the better image it produces, and the more you can see. It’s just like putting a brighter light bulb in a lamp to make reading easier.

With more than twice the power of the best open MRI, it takes our newly upgraded units less time to make a scan...even with its greater clarity, which makes the whole experience more comfortable for patients.

Our MRI team is fully certified and experienced with the varied needs of our patients, including those who may struggle with claustrophobia. With a staff of nine radiologists with more than 120 years combined experience reading imaging studies, you can rest assured that you’re getting the best interpretation possible.
